De-Matting:

I completely understand that coat care in between professional grooms can often be challenging and sometimes matting may not be obvious to the owner/s therefore in some cases a shave down using a close blade is necessary in order to remove all of the matted coat and ensure the comfort of your pooches. In cases of light matting; de matting can sometimes be achieved through brushing whereas In cases of heavy/severe matting often the only option is to perform a shave down. In both instances the dog can often become stressed, anxious and sometimes aggressive as it can be very uncomfortable for the dog. Dematting appointments therefore take longer as regular breaks are required to ensure the dog is as comfortable as possible. For this reason, you will be charged at an extra £5 per 15 minutes of extra appointment time. In some instances a second appointment may be required in order to finish the groom if deemed necessary. I will only attempt to de-matt your dog if they are not showing signs of high stress levels, anxiety or aggression, if these signs are present during the groom then the groom will be terminated. I ask that, where possible, owners let me know when booking the appointment if the dog is matted and requires a longer appointment. If I haven't been made aware of matting prior to the appointment and I am unable to provide a full groom service due to heavy/severe matting within the appointment time allocated then a shave down will be completed only.
Cancellation:

I require a minimum of 24 hours notice for changing or cancelling appointments, if appointments are cancelled/changed before 24 hours you will not be asked to pay as this will allow me to fill the allocated slot.. However, if less than 24 hours notice is provided or in the case of a no show then you will be required to pay the full amount of the groom, this must be paid before any further appointments can be made.
Refusal of Service:

It is the owners responsibility to inform me of any behaviour issues or aggression that their dog has. There may be cases where a muzzle may be required if the dog is showing signs of aggression but the groom is able to continue, however if this causes further stress to the dog then the groom will be terminated. Other cases where the groom may be terminated are: High levels of stress/anxiety Injury to the groomer due to biting/scratching and/or refusal of muzzle by owner (aggressive dogs only). Please note that if the groom has been started however cannot continue due to any of the above reasons you will still be required to pay for the service.
